  1. unlock your phone
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Screen lock & Security
  4. Screen Lock type

1. Unlock your Phone to change password

turn on your cell phone. if its locked then type current password to unlock it.

2. Go to Settings

go to Apps menu and search for settings and open it

scroll down and look for screen lock and security. every phone have its own name style. after that open the menu here you will see all information about lock screen.

4. Screen Lock Type

then go to screen lock type. but before going to screen lock type, scroll down and here you will see about fingerprint scanner. the new versions of cell phone provide you fingerprint scanner to lock and unlock your cell phone with your finger. if you want to do that so open it and type current password and press next button after that print your finger and add fingerprint.

let me back up. if you don’t want to add fingerprint then go to screen lock type and type your current password then press next button. here you have several option to set up new password (Swipe, Pattern, PIN, Password). choose your favorite method and open it, provide your current password and now type your new password. remember provide easy password to remember if you forget your password then you need to reset your phone.
