Great MacBook Accessories to Improve Your Experience

A Mac is an excellent device on its own. However, if you are looking to see great Macbook Accessories to improve your overall experience using the computer and have some money to invest, you can purchase a few accessories.

Keep in mind that we are not talking about hardware upgrades. Such a thing is quite difficult in the first place, given how MacBook models are not that compatible with most hardware changes. At best, you can add extra RAM, replace a hard drive with a solid-state drive, and maybe get an external graphics processing unit.

No, instead of thinking about hardware upgrades, focus on third-party accessories. Look at the list below and figure out which of these would bring you the most joy.

AirPods

If you like listening to music, Apple AirPods are a worthwhile investment. The accessory is compatible with other Apple devices, such as iPads and iPhones, so if you have one of those, a pair of AirPods makes even more sense.

The audio quality AirPods offer is something else. You can also use a wav to mp3 converter if some of the audio files you want to listen to are in the wav format.

Keep in mind, though, that since AirPods are wireless, you will need to charge them quite often. On average, the battery lasts somewhere between 3 to 5 hours.

Cooling Pad

As a rule of thumb, you should remove the dust that accumulates inside the MacBook regularly to make sure that the internal fans are not getting overworked. If you notice that the MacBook is overheating or that the noise is too loud, it is likely that the amount of dust inside the laptop became too much for the hardware to handle.

On the other hand, cleaning the dust might not be enough, especially if you are stuck in a poorly ventilated room and need to use the MacBook.

A cooling pad costs between 30 to 60 dollars, and it could be a great addition to your accessory collection. Using it to cool off your Mac will improve the computer’s performance.

Mouse and Keyboard

A wireless mouse and even a keyboard could come in quite handy in some situations. For example, if you are playing video games on a Mac, relying on the trackpad is not really an option unless it is a mobile-like video game. No, for a proper gaming experience, a mouse is pretty much a must to have.

As for the keyboard, some people might find typing on the default Mac keyboard not too comfortable.

Charger

If you have an old charger that is barely doing its job, do not hesitate and invest in a replacement. You can use the official Apple store and order from them. Or go to a local computer store that sells various accessories. The store is bound to have a charger for MacBooks as well.

Second Display

While Macs have certain advantages, it does not offer that large of a screen. Meaning that it might be difficult to make out what is being displayed. Sure, you could get your face closer to the screen or hunch, but doing so would cause problems to your health.

Spending money on an external monitor for a MacBook might not make too much sense because the laptop already has a screen. But surprisingly enough, there are quite a few great external monitors manufactured specifically for Macs.

An iPad could also work if you have it. Thanks to the Sidecar feature introduced in Catalina macOS 10.15, you can use the tablet as a second display. A tablet might not be the same as a proper monitor, but it is still useful as a second screen.

External Hard Drive

An external hard drive is worth a shout as well because you are likely to run into problems with the drive space on your Mac. If so, transferring some files to an external HDD would solve the issue. Because you can free up the disk space.

It is also worth noting that MacBook owners can combine an external hard drive with the Time Machine tool to back up their data. Even if Macs are quite reliable, it is better to be safe than sorry. Do not risk losing the computer data and get in the habit of backing up the files regularly.

Storage Bag

Having a storage bag would make it easier to carry a MacBook with you. If you are traveling, forcing the laptop into a random bag or not even putting it into one is too much of a hassle. Given how much Mac storage bags are. Spending money on one should not be a problem.

Hardshell Case

A hardshell case is there to protect your Mac. While the material Macs are made of is sturdy and durable. You cannot predict what will happen to the laptop if it accidentally drops on a hard surface.
