Moreover, you will have inline replies, you can mention an individual in a group message. At last but the list, the new Memoji sticker was added in messages in macOS Big Sur, though you can create and edit a Memoji that reflects you.

From the sidebar, tap on UsageHistory.
Here, you have options to check the battery usage history. Whether you want to check out the energy usage of the past 24 hours or last 10 days. Simply tap on the option to show the usage history.

#3: Change Battery Preferences to Improve Battery Life
In this option, you can customize the battery preferences to enhance battery life on your Mac. Here how to do it.
Tap on BatteryIcon from the top menu bar and click the BatteryPreferences.
Tap on the Battery option from the sidebar.
Here, you have 4options to enhance the battery life on your Mac.
Show Battery Status in Menu Bar: If you want to see the battery status of your Mac in the menu bar. Then, check the Show Battery Status in Menu Bar.
Turn Display off After: This option is necessary to keep shorter auto-lock time. You can set the time to turn off display after 1-5 minutes, This option can improve the battery life on your Mac.
Slightly Dim the Display While on Battery Power: If you are curious to improve the battery life of your Mac by cutting down all the useless apps. Then, check the box for it and it will turn off all the unnecessary things on your Mac.
Enable Power Nap While on Battery Power: This option is the best one to protect the battery life on your Mac system. Hands down, by checking this option you can get a new email, calendar, and other iCloud pictures while your Mac is in sleep mode.

In macOS Big Sur, Apple included such handy features that you can boost the battery life of your Mac notebook. Here, you can take control of the power adapter preferences.

Turn Display off After: This option allows you to set the auto-lock of your Mac. Simply move the slider left or right to adjust the auto-lock-time.
Prevent Computer from Sleeping Automatically when the Display is off: If you don’t want your Mac to sleep while the display is off then check the box for it.
Wake for Network Access: I recommend to check this box to make your Mac desktop wake for network access.
Enable Power Nap While Plugging into a Power Adapter: Simply check this box to make your computer take a Power Nap when plugging into a power adapter. Remember, your Mac can backup using Time Machine and periodically check for things such as email, calendar, and iCloud updates.

#5: Schedule Your macOS Big Sur to Start-Up
In macOS 11 Big Sur battery settings, you will have an option to schedule your Mac computer to start up or wake at a preferred time. In case, you want your Mac to be ready at a specific time and automatically go to sleep mode. Then, this feature can help you.

You don’t need to worry, here how you can get it back. Simply, go to System Preferences and click on Dock & Menu Bar. Here, tap on Battery from the sidebar and tick the box for show Percentage. Now, you will have the percentage in the menu bar of the battery icon.

How to Downgrade from macOS Big Sur to macOS Catalina?
Below are the steps that can help you to downgrade to macOS Catalina from macOS Big Sur. Though these steps will take a little time but you can do it easily.
Backup your Mac
While you have macOS Catalina on your system and you want to upgrade to macOS Big Sur. Then, did you make a backup of your Mac using a time machine? If yes, then you can restore all the files and data from it after you downgrade to macOS Catalina. In case, you didn’t make a time machine backup of your Mac. Then, you will have a new macOS Catalina Mac.
However, you are using macOS Big Sur and you might download files from the internet or you made documents files. Then, make a copy of all your files to an external hard drive. Although, you can save to cloud service like Google Drive. Once you roll back to macOS Catalina then you can transfer them back. Even you can transfer to your iPhone.
Erase macOS 11 Big Sur from Mac Drive
To start the process, you need to restart your Mac. Therefore, go to the Applelogo and tap on Restart.
While your Mac is restarting, immediately press and hold Command+R. Remember, keep holding until you see the Utilities menu.
Now, tap on Disk Utility and click on Continue.
After that, select your Mac drive like Macintosh HD from the left side of the page.
Tap on the Erase button from the top menu.
Here you will see a pop-up erase menu. So, type a name for the drive and select APFS for format from the dropdown list.
Then, click Erase.
Wait for a while, once the drive is erased then click the Done button and go to Disk Utility and click Quit.
Note: Don’t close the macOS utilities page because all the processes and steps will be done with this page.
Reinstall macOS Catalina
On the macOS Utilities, tap on Reinstall macOS and click Continue.
Afterward, agree to the terms and conditions.
Now, follow the on-screen instructions to download macOS Catalina.
While the download is done then follow the installation steps of macOS Catalina.
How to Reinstall macOS Catalina using Bootable USB Drive?
The above method will download macOS Catalina from the internet. If you have a fast internet connection then the macOS Catalina setup will be downloaded soon. Anyhow, it will take a little time. In case, your internet connection is not good and you want to reinstall macOS Catalina using a bootable USB drive. Then, follow this method. Make sure, you created macOS Catalina bootable USB.
Plug the macOS Catalina bootable USB drive to your Mac.
Go to AppleLogo and tap on Restart.
While restarting, hold down the option key.
Now, you will get the option to choose a startup disk. Here, select the macOS Catalina bootable USB drive.
once you select the bootable USB, then, macOS Catalina will start installing on your Mac. Therefore, click the Continue on the macOS Catalina installation page.
Now, agree to the license terms and conditions.
After that, follow the installation steps to complete the macOS Catalina installation.
Restore Time Machine Backup
This step will work when you have a time machine backup for macOS Catalina. Otherwise, you can’t go with this process. In case, you made a backup of your macOS Catalina before installing macOS Big Sur. then, you can restore all the files once your downgrade to macOS Catalina from macOS Big Sur.
Plug the Time Machine hard drive to your Mac.
Now go to Apple Logo and tap on Restart.
While restarting, press and hold the Command+R keys.
Afterward, tap on Restore from Time Machine Backup in the macOS Utilities and click Continue.
Check all the restoring information from a backup. After that, select the Backup source and proceed.
Hand down to select the latest and recent macOS Catalina backup on the drive and click Continue.

#3: Give a nameto the virtual machine and change the default location of the macOS Big Sur installation folder if you want. Then, click Next. After that, specify disk capacity for macOS Big Sur and select the Store virtual disk as a single file. Then, click Next.

#4: As you created a virtual machine for macOS Big Sur. Now, bring some changes to the macOS Big Sur virtual machine. Therefore, click the Customize Hardware.

#5: Increase Memory size for a virtual machine from 2GB to 4GB or above for better performance.

Once you create the new virtual machine for macOS Big Sur then you need to edit the macOS Big Sur VMX file. You can find it on Document > Virtual machines > macOS Big Sur. If you changed the default installation folder then you can find it to the new folder where you set it.
Now, Right-Click on macOS Big Sur.vmx file and open it with Notepad or other third-party code editors.

Steps to install macOS Big Sur on Virtualbox on Windows
Step 1: Required Files to install macOS Big Sur
To install macOS Big Sur on Virtualbox on Windows. you will need to download below required files.
Download macOS 11 Big Sur ISO or dmg (Both macOS Big Sur installer will work with this method. As I used macOS Big Sur ISO file)
Once the Virtualbox installation is done successfully then you need to install or update the Virtualbox extension pack. If you have installed macOS previous version on Virtualbox then you have face mouse and keyboard stuck while using the Mac OS. Therefore, to fix mouse and keyboard stuck you should install the Virtualbox extension pack. So, Download the VirtualBox extension pack and follow the below steps.
#1: Open Virtualbox and tap on File > Preferences.
#2: From the left menu, tap on Extension.

#3: On the Extensions page, click the plus icon and browse the Virtualbox extension pack setup that you downloaded earlier.

Step 4: Create a new Virtual Machine for macOS 11 Big Sur
For installing any Mac OS in VirtualBox, you need to create a new virtual machine for the Mac OS. Therefore, to create a new VM for macOS Big Sur, Open Virtualbox, and tap on New.

#1: While you tap on New then click on Expert Mode. After that, you will see the below screenshot. So, for Name and Operating System type the macOS Big Sur and leave other options as it is. Then, for Memory Size, give 50% of your main memory size to the Virtualbox machine. For Hard Disk, select Create a virtual hard disk now and click on Create.

#2: The next step is to create a virtual machine hard disk for macOS Big Sur. So, the file location is fine, In case, you want to change the macOS Big Sur destination folder then change it. Then, increase the File Size and select VHD for the hard disk file type. And select Dynamic Allocated for storage on a physical hard disk. After that, click on Create.

#3: Now tap on Settings and click on System > Processor. Now, according to your main computer CPU increase the processor CPU for macOS Big Sur.

#5: Jump to Storage and tap on Empty, Then, click on small CD icon> choose/create an optical disk > Add. Now, browse the macOS 11 Big Sur installer file you have downloaded form this article.

#6: Once you inserted macOS 11 Big Sur dmg file or ISO file. Then, set macOS 11 Big Sur SATA Port 0. If the macOS Big Sur is not set to 0 then the virtual machine will not boot macOS Big Sur. Finally, click the Ok button to close the page.
Now, close the Virtualbox to apply the Virtualbox code to the command prompt. to close the Virtualbox go to File and click on exit.

You have created and customized the macOS Big Sur virtual machine and you have inserted the macOS Big Sur installer file. Now, it is time to run Virtualbox code in order to install macOS 11 Big Sur on Virtualbox. Therefore, copy the below code and paste it to notepad or other code editors.
Once you paste the code on notepad then use the replace function to replace the VM Name with your virtual machine name which is macOS Big Sur. Make sure, you have replaced the name correctly otherwise you can not continue to run the VirtualBox code.

Once you change or replace the VM Name with your virtual machine name. Then, copy and paste the code one by one to command prompt (CMD) and press enter. To open CMD, press Windows Key and type CMD and run it as administrator.

Everything was done till here and your Virtualbox with new virtual machine is ready to install macOS Big Sur. Installing macOS Big Sur is somehow different from the previous macOS version. So, pay attention and follow each step.
#1: Launch Virtualbox and select macOS Big Sur virtual machine and tap on the Start button from the top menu.
#2: You will see a black and white screen for a few seconds, Don’t worry about that just be patient. After a while, you will see the first screen that will ask you to select your Language.

#4: Now, you need to erase the Virtualbox Hard Disk. So, select the Virtualbox hard disk and tap on Erase from the top menu. After that, give the name to the hard disk and click the Erase button.

Once you click the Install button then you will see the BiErrorDomain Error 3. But, in this article, I don’t see any types of error specially BiErrorDomain Error 3. However, it will take much time and you don’t need to worry because it will take time to prepare the macOS Big Sur for installation. Although, you will see lots of text scrolling down and black and white screen many times. Only you should wait until the macOS Big Sur welcome page appears.
In case, you face BiErrorDomain Error 3 while installing macOS Big Sur. Then, leave a comment and I will guide you on how to fix it. Though I didn’t see such an error while I am installing macOS Big Sur.
